Monday Market Update - April 5, 2011

Happy Monday! Beautiful weather here in Wilmington and just in time for the Azalea Festival that's going on this weekend! Lot's to check out around town. Visit www.NCAzaleaFestival.org for details on events, times, etc.
Well, the labor market is showing signs of improving with last weeks jobs report showing 216,000 jobs being created in March and 230,000 new jobs in the private sector. Unemployment is now being reported to being at 8.8% which is lower than expected and the lowest we've seen since March 2009.
March was our Team's best month in production since 2009 so we are cautiously optimistic as well that the economy and market are starting to improve. Personally, I think our local and national markets are still a little too vulnerable to make clear cut predictions on what the market is going to do. We need to see this positive trend consistently for months before making any serious conclusions! We are watching it very closely! One thing remains, it's still a strong buyers market with low interest rates and plenty of inventory.
If you have any questions or we can help you in any way, please give us a call or email. We're happy to help.
Have a great week!
