Monday Market Update - March 4, 2013
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Lots going on in the Wilmington area. Recreation soccer leagues started playing, the Susan G. Komen 5k was held in downtown Wilmington and signs of Spring are starting to show (mainly longer days and a little bit of pollen). Summer can't get here fast enough! Don't forget to SPRING forward this weekend!
Mortgage interest rates have remained relatively stable over the last month except for last week where we did see a slight dip. With home prices being much lower than they were at the peak of the market and considering the low cost of financing, it's really an unprecedented time for a purchase. I've even heard of several instances of bidding wars over the past few weeks. Whether you are buying up or scaling down, it's a great time to buy. One of the big challenges we are seeing for buyers now is inventory is starting to drop (especially in the under $200,000 range). It might be a little harder to find the perfect home but there are still some phenomenal opportunities out there for buyers we are working with.
If you are considering selling and moving up to a larger home or downsizing, the best way to start the process is to meet with us. We will meet with you, discuss your needs and plans and determine the best course of action for you and your family. We've found that once our clients understand the numbers and the entire process of buying and/or selling, making a decision on what to do is a lot easier. As always, there's no obligation!
Have a incredible week and we look forward to hearing from you.
