Things you CANNOT take with you when you sell your house
- Mirrors – wall and door
- Light fixtures – interior and exterior this includes landscape lights, fancy chandeliers, etc
- Blinds and drapery rods
- Built-in appliances
- Ceiling fans
- Solar energy systems
- Pool and spa equipment (if you are not leaving the hot tub, let them know)
- Gas logs
- Satellite dishes
- Garage door openers and controls
- Invisible fences
- Plants and trees, unless they are in planters
- Water softener
- Mail box
- Storage sheds
- and more…
Please note if you want to keep any of these items, they are yours, take them! When possible, take them out of the house before you put it on the market. If that is not an option, have your real estate professional note them in your listing agreement and on the multiple listing service.
