This video of a lab test conducted at the Institute for Business and Home Safety's disaster lab shows the importance of making sure your home is built to hurricane standards when you live in hurricane territory. The test includes two homes, one reinforced to hurricane building standards and one not (guess which one that was). The winds are blowing at 96 mph, which are the same as a Category 3 hurricane.
