The Cameron Team has a new listing!

Located in the gated community of Porters Neck Plantation, this low maintenance brick home is in pristine condition and just needs new owners. Even the furniture is negotiable. Gently lived in, this former model home features beautiful hardwood floors, a fireplace with built-ins, an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, and a formal dining room. After a long day on the golf course, relax on the covered back porch for your afternoon cocktail. Porters Neck Plantation offers the laid back southern hospitality you'd expect in a gated country club community. Golf, social, and sports memberships are available and all residents have access to the boat ramp/dock on the Intracoastal Waterway.

In Case You Missed It

Witches of East End, a Lifetime television pilot, has started filming in Wilmington this week. The pilot stars Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Channing Tatum’s wife/”The Playboy Club”), Julia Ormond (“Mad Men”), Rachel Boston (“In Plain Sight”), and Nicholas Gonzalez (“Off the Map”). The pilot is based on the series by author Melissa de la Cruz and follows the story of Joanna Beauchamp as she must reveal to her daughters that they are a family of witches. Learn more about the series at de la Cruz’s web site.

One of Wilmington’s own entrepreneurs will be heading into the Shark Tank this week. Zach Crain, co-founder of Freaker USA, will be on the ABC show this Friday at 8 p.m. to pitch the company’s bottle sweater. Just as the name describes, the product is knitted and stretches to fit many different drink containers to keep the contents cold and hands dry. The company has had a following in Wilmington for some time. Good luck Zach!

Workers have begun milling (scraping off the surface) of N. Third Street in downtown Wilmington to prepare it for a new 3” layer of asphalt that will run all the way to the Martin Luther King Pkwy. Traffic delays will be intermittent and resurfacing should reach the parkway sometime in December. This will wrap up Third Street’s improvements, which began in August 2011.
